Trying pomegranates for the symptoms of erectile dysfunction
One thing many men try for erectile dysfunction is pomegranates, or pomegranate juice.
Although nothing has been proven, there are a few reasons why it might be worth upping your intake of pomegranates or pomegranate juice if you have erectile dysfunction.
First, according to research at Queen Margaret University in Edinburg, it could increase your testosterone levels. At the end of two weeks, the saliva of men who had been drinking pomegranate juice had 24% more testosterone than when they started.
In addition, that some study found that heart health improved and blood pressure went down after two weeks of drinking the pomegranate juice.
A separate study done on rats, which was published in Clinical Nutrition, also found that testosterone increased after consuming pomegranate juice. There were other improvements in the rats too, including improved sperm quality and spermatogenic cell density.
A pilot study published in the International Journal of Impotence Research found that 47% of men who drank 8 oz. of pomegranate juice daily had improved erections. All the men in the study had to have experienced at least three months of mild to moderate erectile dysfunction in order to qualify.

While it certainly can’t hurt to try pomegranates or their juice to see if your erectile dysfunction improves, it’s important to note that Viagra does work for most men with erectile dysfunction.
