Dr. Daniel Williams – Health/Medical Writer

Daniel Williams, MD, is a member of the AccessRx.com medical writing and editing team. He is responsible for reviewing AccessRx.com health and research articles. Dr. Williams has also produced educational videos and articles on men’s health, sexual health, allergy relief and various topics.

Dr. Williams received his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Texas at Tyler. Dr. Williams attended medical school at the University of Texas, Houston. He completed emergency medicine internship training at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Williams’ recent focus has been on advancing multimedia healthcare education and developing medical-related education and career websites. He founded the premedical and medical student Mastermind Support Communities, the latter with the American Medical Student Association.

Arthur L. Allen, Pharm. D., CACP

Arthur L. Allen, Pharm. D., CACP is part of the AccessRx.com medical editing team and is responsible for reviewing AccessRx.com health articles. Dr. Allen practices as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System in Reno, Nevada where he serves as the director of the anticoagulation service. In addition to his anticoagulation practice, Dr. Allen has extensive experience treating patients in various ambulatory care settings. He is also well-versed in population-based management, formulary management, pharmacoeconomics, outpatient pharmacy services, patient and staff education, professional lecturing and research project design and oversight. Additionally, he serves as an affiliate faculty member of both Idaho State University and The University of Southern Nevada Colleges of Pharmacy, and trains clinical pharmacy residents at his facility.

Dr. Allen serves on the professional speakers bureau for Sanofi Aventis, and serves on the Board of Directors for the newly formed Nevada anticoagulation Forum. He has also served on local, regional and national task groups within the VA System. He is a member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists and the Anticoagulation Forum.
