Nexium is used to treat the signs and symptoms of acid reflux disease, better known as Gastro-esophageal Reflux Disease, or GERD. You should be sure to tell your doctor if you have experienced any type of liver disease prior to beginning treatment with Nexium. Women who are breastfeeding and individuals who have experienced any type of liver disease should consult a physician prior to taking Nexium.
