Top 4 People to Get Stranded With

If you were to get stranded on a desert island and could pick four people to get stranded with, who would they be? It’s a tough question. Would you take your wife or husband along? Your favorite celebrity? A doctor? A farmer? The list is endless.

Here’s a look at the top 4 smartest people to get stranded with:

Notice the title says “smartest” people to get stranded with. No doubt some of us would consider getting stranded with someone from a romance novel, or a centerfold model, but we’re talking about people that could actually help you get off the island.

1. A Shipbuilder

If you want off the island, you’re going to need someone that can craft a boat out of driftwood and get the crew out of isolation. One California blogger, who has contemplated this very topic, suggests brining Donald Mckay. He’s a nineteenth century shipbuilder.

2. A Previous Castaway

Tom Hanks may have played an excellent castaway in a movie, but we’re talking about taking a real castaway along. Alexander Selkirk, for example, survived four years on an island after he was left behind by his shipmates for trying to insight a riot. BoaterExam.com says he rescued and became an inspiration for several books. One would think he would be a helpful addition to the island crew.

3. A Chef

Whether you pick Rachel Ray or Emeril, it doesn’t matter. A chef will be key. Most people have a hard enough time making a creative meal when they can visit a grocery store, so being on a deserted island with few ingredients to pick from could make eating difficult at best.

4. A Comedian

The nights are long and days are even longer on an island, so it would be a good idea to have someone who can offer a little entertainment. Whoever can make you laugh and break the boredom should also be on your list.
